











Fluvial Beaches, or better known as River Beaches, formed by creating a low dam in
the river or stream and having a sluice gate to create swimming or dipping areas
of water in the summer months. Usually having facilities for changing, toilets and
refreshment. This page shows two, Ana de Avis and Sao Simao. These photographs are
taken in March 2008, before the season starts, and the the trees have all their greenery,
and the temperature is just not conducive to leaping into an icy pool. So to see
